General News – applies to all three phases
Term 2 comes to an end on Friday 28 June for the winter holiday. School officially ends at 12:00 midday on Friday, however, aftercare will continue as usual until 17:00.
We wish all our families a safe, happy and restful holiday and look forward to everyone’s safe return when school reopens for Term 3 on Tuesday 23 July.
A number of our international families are returning to their home countries or moving on to new diplomatic missions at the end of June. We extend best wishes for their safe relocation but a sad farewell as we say goodbye. We sincerely hope these families have had a memorable time in South Africa and at our school.
Please be advised that the school offices will be closed during the first week (1 – 8 July) of the winter holiday.
Parents are asked to please keep children home if they are sick with bad colds, flu or any other infectious illness such as a tummy bug or bronchitis and to seek medical attention so that the child can recover quickly. Children who come to school sick spread the viruses and germs. A medical certificate is required if a student is sick for an exam.
One confirmed case of swine flu has been reported at the primary campus. Please seek medical consultation should your child develop flu-like symptoms and fever or a bad cough.
Please keep Saturday 14 September 2019 open for the ever-popular Courtney House International Day event. This is a lovely, family day of fun whereby families can represent and showcase their countries of origin with a stall of traditional food, clothing, accessories etc. More details to follow soon.
